[R]eaching People, [B]uilding Families, [G]rowing Lives

In a nutshell, FB Church is... A Church About A Relationship, Not Rules…

Here's a bit more background if you like more details..

We believe that God has called us to raise up a church of 3000 people that are actively using their gifts to influence our community, state, nation and world with God’s unconditional love.

We are a church that reaches out to the lost and backslidden, burned out Christian with the unconditional love of God in practical, non-traditional, non-threatening ways in order to build strong individuals, strong relationships and strong families.

Denomination?

“Non-denominational” might be an accurate description since we have a blended background of some fundamentalist denominations, some Pentecostal, some Charismatic and “Word of Faith”.  We are independent of denominational control but we relate and fellowship with a number of other churches through Safe Harbor International – a ministerial fellowship with solid & mature leadership but which is not a controlling / governing body. It does license and ordain ministers. (click: Safe Harbor International Network for more info)

Many pastors on staff here have had theological and /or missions training of varying types & lengths with extensive ministerial experience here in the USA and in other countries of the world.

Most people today don’t like to hear about their responsibility yet every believer has their own God-given responsibility to verify whatever they hear. (see: Acts 17:11. 1 John 2: 18-27). So please “check us out” and I encourage you to always check every message spoken. An official qualification doesn’t make an accurate teacher of God’s Word… and vice versa. A minister's track record is of much greater value, as history shows.

Community & Outreach

We have been in Eustis for over 15 years and a number of years in Tavares before that. We have community outreach events annually: VBS in summer and either Fall Festival or a Trunk or Treat in October/November. Much of our local mission focus is encouraging members to bring their friends & family to special events & to our tailored services that we design to be fresh & relevant.  (see bottom for details)

We have various Life Groups, small groups that allow people to build relationship and grow together: mens, ladies, moms, youth, divorce care, marriage and other interest-based groups.

Of course, we have a worldwide mission focus too in obedience to Matthew 28:19. This includes supporting missionaries we are actively in relationship with; taking teams on short-term mission trips and media outreach like TV programs (satellite & local) & The Xchange (our online church). Pastor Allen has an effective ministry to many ministers around the world.

As a CHURCH body, we currently financially support the following ministries/missionaries/organizations monthly:

Local:

  • Hospice
  • Life Choices
  • Agape House

National:

  • Finishline Ministries
  • Wounded Warrior Project

International:

  • Africa Outreach - Walker and Haley Schurz
  • Great Heart Ministries - Matt & Ulandi Brewer
  • Impact Ministries (and National) - Dr. Jim Richards
  • Life World Outreach - Steve & DeeAnne Olivier
  • Safe Harbor International (and National)
  • Word of Life World Outreach - Ed Elliott

Giving / Tithing:

We teach Biblically about giving (there’s a lot the Lord Jesus had to say about it... eg. "2 cents can be more than a lot of money”) so we invite all our members to participate in supporting their church home as the Lord leads them. We do not manipulate. We don’t check the records or try “make” anyone give. Biblical giving needs to come from your own willing heart for it to bless and enrich your life. Any donation of tithes or offerings; books, CD or DVD purchases; payment of trip fees etc. can all be done by cash or check or even by debit or credit card securely through our Donate link online. Diligent financial records are kept and a tax-deductible receipt is mailed to our donors annually.
